Description
Department of Paediatrics General Clerk II The appointee will work at the Prince of Wales Hospital and the Hong Kong Children’s Hospital. The appointee will be responsible for (a) providing secretarial support to academic and medical staff; (b) assisting in the undergraduate medical student teaching programme and attachment; (c) purchasing or handling tender requisitions for equipment and consumables; (d) handling reimbursement of expenses; (e) invigilating and assisting in departmental examinations; and (f) performing other tasks as assigned by the Department Chairperson or Executive Officer. Applicants should have (i) completed secondary education; (ii) Grade E/Level 2 or above in at least 5 subjects in HKCEE, including Chinese and English (Syllabus B); OR any combination of results in at least 5 HKDSE subjects (including Level 2 or above in Chinese and English): Level 2 or above in NSS subjects, “Attained” or above in ApL subjects (subject to a maximum of 2 subjects), and Grade E or above in Other Language subjects; (iii) fast and accurate Chinese and English typing skill; (iv) a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua); (v) a strong sense of responsibility, self-motivation, and attentiveness to detail; (vi) the ability to work independently and as a team member; (vii) strong organisational, analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills; and (viii) an energetic and self-motivated work attitude. Having relevant experience in a tertiary education setting will be an advantage. Appointment will initially be made on a 1-year contract commencing in March or April 2026, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
