Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated General Technologist to join our healthcare team. Iowa Radiology is a patient-centered practice that promotes a more compassionate approach to medicine. Location: Des Moines Metro Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Flexible full-time schedule of 32 or 40 hours per week We want YOU to join the Iowa Rad family! The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in helping us continue to be the premier provider of radiologic services in Iowa by providing high-quality imaging services, ensuring patient safety, and delivering accurate diagnostic information. Mammography training is available for anyone interested! Responsibilities: * Producing diagnostic exams following established protocols and guidelines. * Utilizing general x-ray, bone densitometry and fluoroscopy to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. * Demonstrate proficiency in medical terminology and anatomy knowledge to accurately communicate imaging findings. * Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care. * Stay updated on the latest advancements in technology and techniques to provide optimal services to patients. * Following established protocols for infection control and patient safety during all procedures. Qualifications: * ARRT certification and a current Iowa permit to practice in general radiography is required. * Excellent patient care and communication skills are essential * Some lifting is involved with this position.
