Responsibilities:
Hospitality
- Ensure that customers are satisfied with their experience
- Ensure excellent service for breakfast and lunch
- Handle complaints in a professional manner to resolve issues quickly and effectively
- Give guests a warm welcome
- Listening to guests and responding to their needs and questions, be the point of contact for all queries
- Create and maintain allergen cards and menu screens to inform guests
- Collaborate with the Chef and the Culinary Team to understand the menus, including allergen and ingredient lists as per standards.
Equipment maintenance
- Maintain both front and back-of-house areas cleanliness in accordance with food hygiene regulations, using the correct chemicals on the appropriate surfaces/appliances
- Wash all pots, pans, and other kitchen equipment used during shifts
- Make sure bins are neat, clean, and tidy
- At the end of each shift, clean everything, sweep, and mop the floors to prepare for the next day’s work
- Ensure the smooth operation of coffee machines, kettles, and other equipment available for customer use
- Maintain and clean coffee machines, racks, and refrigerators
- Set up and refill permanent “micro-kitchen” break areas (with snacks, drinks, etc.) throughout the day
- Comply with HACCP and safety regulations as part of the health and safety plan
Stock Management
- Monitor stock levels and order supplies according to the needs and the budget
- Receive and check the orders being received
- Store goods in appropriate storage areas while following safety and hygiene protocols
- Record waste if any and suggest solutions to control & reduce it
