JOB OVERVIEW

Looking for experienced steel factory operative, used to working with heavy steel products and overhead cranes in a factory environment. Must be able to work with others on various machines such as press brakes, plate rolls, laser cutter etc. General ability and experience with factory machines and skills such as fork lifts and grinders will make the candidate stand out. Must be versatile and be able to help with a variety of duties.

KEY ABILITIES

• Good knowledge and experience with heavy steel products, to be able to work efficiently and safely
• Able to work on other factory machines, such as a laser cutting, flame cutter, plasma cutter, plate rolls or press brake. General skill and experience will be valuable
• Good general ability with other equipment, such as cranes, lifting, grinding, loading lorries etc.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS AND EXPERIENCE

• 5+ years experience in heavy steel engineering
• Good knowledge of materials and factory processes
• Good knowledge of factory health and safety
• Attention to detail and able to complete basic factory paperwork
• Able to communicate effectively and work as part of a team

EXPERIENCE

• Heavy Steel Industry. 5 years (required)
