POSITION OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Farm Equipment Operator / Farm Hand to join our team and contribute to all areas of our farm operations. This position involves a variety of responsibilities related to the operation and maintenance of farm equipment, crop management, and general farm infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have experience working on a farm, be familiar with operating tractors and other farm machinery, and be able to work both independently and as part of a team.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience operating farm equipment and machinery (tractors, tools, etc.).
  • Ability to perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment and farm infrastructure.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to perform physical tasks in varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to follow safety protocols and adhere to health and safety regulations.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with a team.
  • Willingness to learn and grow with opportunities for further training and development.
Responsibilities
  • Safely operate and maintain various types of farm equipment, including tractors, machinery, and tools.
  • Assist with crop management, including seasonal tasks and general farm duties such as planting, irrigation, and harvesting.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment, machinery, and farm facilities to minimize downtime.
  • Assist with general farm maintenance tasks, including fabricating and constructing farm infrastructure as needed.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of equipment, tools, and work areas.
  • Ensure proper safety protocols are followed, especially when handling heavy equipment and performing lifting tasks.
  • Collaborate with team members to coordinate daily farm operations and achieve overall farm goals.
  • Communicate with management and team members to report issues and ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
  • Fix and maintain farm infrastructure, including fences, buildings, and other structures.
  • Adhere to all health and safety policies and practices.
  • Perform other duties as required by the farm management team.
