I am currently recruiting a general farm worker to work on our successful Free Range Poultry Farms.
We have 27,000 free range hens near Salisbury and 10,000 Organic free range near Devizes.
Due to the location and nature of the business applicants must be able to drive and flexible to cover shifts over a 7 day period.
Working within a small team you will be responsible for checking and packing our free range eggs ready for collection to store.
Daily duties include; quality checking and monitoring, stacking and grading eggs preparing them for collection. Also walking the birds and ensuring all is well, and checking food and water supplies and recording findings. Also you will be expected to keep the workplace neat and tidy and a knowledge of food hygiene as well as upholding excellent welfare standards , identify problems and assist in ensuring the birds are catered for each day.
Also depending on experience, the opportunity to learn and be trained on all aspects of Free Range Egg Production, you will be part of a small team.
Hours are approximately 8.00am-1.30pm, up to 6 days a week, and covering weekends on a rotating basis with other staff members. Capacity for full time hours for the right candidate.
Pay negotiable but starting at £12 per hour (23’s and over), Extra hours will be available depending on the daily needs of the hens, Ideally looking for someone to join the team on a permanent basis and flexibility to work on both sites would be ideal.
You will need to be reliable, conscientious and flexible with a genuine interest in UK Agriculture and Livestock.
