Prepare trays or rafts with growing media, seed according to crop schedules (e.g. microgreens, edible flowers, leafy greens), and transfer trays into germination areas.
Monitor germination conditions (humidity, temperature, light) and relocate trays to grow racks once germinated.
· Water and maintain nutrient delivery systems; monitor environmental conditions such as pH, EC, temperature, humidity.
· Conduct daily inspections for crop health, pest/disease issues, or system malfunctions; report flagged issues to supervisors.
· Monitor seed, media, and nutrient inventory; alert supervisors when supplies are low.
Harvest mature produce by cutting or pulling plants depending on system design, sort and cull subpar produce.
Ensure that only high-quality produce proceeds to packaging; report any anomalies to the team.
Clean and sanitize trays, tools, harvest tables, and grow areas per SOPs and food safety regulations (e.g. HACCP). § Maintain personal hygiene and cleanliness of the work environment.
