JOB SUMMARY

As a General Food Production Operative, you will assist in the preparation, packing, and labelling of our food products. You’ll help maintain a clean and safe working environment, ensuring that production targets and food safety standards are consistently met.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Previous experience in a food production or manufacturing environment (preferred but not essential).
  • Basic food hygiene knowledge (training can be provided).
  • Ability to work efficiently in a team and follow instructions.
  • Good attention to detail and a proactive attitude.
  • Ability to work on your feet and lift/move items.
  • Strong understanding of health & safety and hygiene requirements.
Responsibilities
  • Assist in the production and packaging of food products according to company standards. Operate machinery (after training) such as mixers, sealers, and weighing equipment.
  • Measure, mix, and handle ingredients safely and accurately.
  • Pack finished products, apply labels, and prepare items for dispatch.
  • Conduct quality checks to ensure products meet specifications.
  • Clean equipment and work areas to maintain hygiene and food safety.
  • Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), food hygiene, and health & safety procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records where required (e.g., batch logs, cleaning schedules).
  • Assist with stock rotation and raw material handling.
  • Support other team members and departments when needed.
