JOB SUMMARY

As a General Food Production Operative (Sauce Kitchen Team), you will play a key role in the preparation of our sauces, as well as assisting with other food production tasks. This role involves handling and cooking ingredients, operating kitchen equipment, and lifting large pots of sauce (up to approx. 20kg). You will help maintain a clean and safe working environment, ensuring that production targets and food safety standards are consistently met.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

· Previous experience in a food production or manufacturing environment (preferred but not essential).
· Basic food hygiene knowledge (training can be provided).
· Ability to work efficiently in a team and follow instructions.
· Good attention to detail and a proactive attitude.
· Ability to work on your feet and lift/move items.
· Strong understanding of health & safety and hygiene requirements.

Responsibilities

· Assist in the preparation and cooking of sauces, including handling large pots and ingredients.
· Safely lift and move sauce pots weighing up to approx. 20kg (training provided).
· Operate machinery (after training) such as mixers, sealers, and weighing equipment.
· Measure, mix, and handle ingredients accurately and hygienically.
· Pack finished products, apply labels, and prepare items for dispatch.
· Conduct quality checks to ensure products meet specifications.
· Clean equipment and work areas to maintain hygiene and food safety.
· Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), food hygiene, and health & safety procedures.
· Maintain accurate records where required (e.g., batch logs, cleaning schedules).
· Assist with stock rotation and raw material handling.
· Support other team members and departments when needed.
