General Housekeeper Westtown School seeks an experienced General Housekeeper to join our school's Housekeeping Team beginning immediately. Housekeepers are responsible for maintaining cleanliness in designated campus buildings, dormitories, and offices. This is a year-round, full-time position with full benefits, including Paid Time Off, paid holidays and breaks, health, dental, and vision coverage, retirement contributions, tuition remission, long-term and short-term disability coverage, and life insurance. Meals and uniforms are also provided. The regular hours are 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, with some occasional weekend work required for campus events. Housekeeping team members are considered essential personnel and, as such, are expected to be available during inclement weather and other school-closing situations. Westtown School is an independent, Quaker pre-K to 12, college-preparatory day and boarding school located in suburban West Chester, PA, approximately 30 miles from Philadelphia.  Located on a beautiful 600-acre campus, Westtown offers state-of-the-art facilities where our committed faculty and staff inspire and prepare our students to be stewards and leaders of a better world.  Essential Responsibilities * Dust, sweep, mop, and vacuum assigned areas to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment. * Collect, remove, and properly dispose of trash and recycling throughout designated areas. * Clean and disinfect high-touch surfaces in accordance with established sanitization and infection-control protocols. * Clean and sanitize restrooms, including sinks, toilets, mirrors, countertops, and fixtures; replenish paper and soap supplies; and sweep and mop floors. * Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of dormitories, classrooms, offices, and other campus facilities. * Perform routine and detailed cleaning of assigned areas to ensure high standards of cleanliness and presentation. * Assist with event setup and breakdown activities, including arranging and moving tables, chairs, and related equipment. * Assist with the relocation of small furniture and furnishings, including bed frames, mattresses, desks, and similar items as needed. * Foster professional, respectful, and appropriate interactions with students, parents, colleagues, and visitors. * Follow all safety procedures and guidelines, including the proper handling, storage, and use of cleaning chemicals, tools, and equipment. * Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned to support the needs of the department and school community.
