Job Title: General Housekeeping Staff Department: Facilities & Admin Work Set Up: Onsite Reports To: Facilities & Admin Manager JOB SUMMARY The Housekeeping Staff is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, sanitation, and orderliness in the warehouse and manufacturing areas. This role ensures a safe and hygienic work environment by following cleaning schedules, safety protocols, and operational standards. The role includes implementing proper waste management practices, including segregation, collection, and disposal, to ensure a safe, hygienic, and environmentally compliant workplace. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES General Housekeeping: Clean and sanitize production floors, warehouses, restrooms, offices, and common areas. Sweep, mop, vacuum, and scrub floors and surfaces as scheduled. Clean walls, doors, and windows. Refill hygiene supplies (e.g., hand soap, sanitizers, tissue, and paper towels). Report maintenance or safety concerns (e.g., leaks, pests, damaged infrastructure). Monitoring/recording of cleaning inventory and supplies Always maintain cleanliness and order Waste Management and Segregation: Properly collect, segregate, and dispose of waste according to company policies and local regulations: Biodegradable / Organic Waste Non-Biodegradable / Residual Waste Hazardous Waste (e.g., chemical containers, oily rags) Recyclables (e.g., paper, plastic, metal scrap) Label and transport segregated waste to designated collection or disposal areas. Monitor and clean waste bins to prevent contamination and odor. Follow safety protocols when handling hazardous or chemical waste. Support company recycling and sustainability initiatives. Compliance and Safety: Adhere to safety and security guidelines or policy Follow Good Housekeeping, 5S, and GMP standards as applicable. Always Wear appropriate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment). Participate in safety and waste management training as required. Assist in preparing for inspections or audits by maintaining clean and compliant areas. QUALIFICATION AND REQUIREMENTS High school graduate or equivalent preferred. Housekeeping nc2 is a plus At least 1 year of housekeeping or janitorial experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment. Familiarity with cleaning tools, equipment, and cleaning agents. Knowledge of basic waste classification, segregation, and disposal methods. Ability to follow safety and environmental regulations. Physically fit to stand, walk, lift, and perform labor-intensive tasks. SKILLS & COMPETENCIES Attention to cleanliness and detail Knowledge of waste management best practices Basic understanding of environmental compliance Time management and task prioritization Responsible, proactive, and safety-oriented WORK ENVIRONMENT Work is conducted in warehouse and manufacturing settings, sometimes in noisy, hot, or dusty conditions. Requires use of PPE and handling of various waste types and cleaning chemicals. May involve lifting, bending, and long periods of walking or standing.
