Description General Labor Packaging · Ability to work in a safe manner, follow safety guidelines. · Understand and follow Food Safety policies. · Must be willing to work flexible schedules and work in other departments including weekends and holidays · Ability to read and understand recipes. · Ability to troubleshoot process related issues within the boundaries of the recipe · Ability to use digital scales and have a working knowledge of scale functions. · Ability to mix doughs according to recipe. Have a working knowledge of the mixer, using the timer and batch recipe system · Follow FIFO (First in First Out), Mix lot number and documentation accuracy. · Clean & Refill ingredient bins and label the bins with the correct lot number. · Ability to work in a standing position for entire shift and climb steps and ladders. · Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly. · Monitors and assists with equipment upstream/downstream to ensure continuous operation. · Ability to clean mixers, work areas properly during and after production runs or changeovers · Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area · Observe all plant safety, GMP and allergen procedures and attend appropriate training sessions · Responsible for manufacturing, distributing and consistently maintaining safe and quality food by following good manufacturing practices, allergen controls, food defense, HACCP and SQF requirements · Responsible for immediately reporting all food safety and quality issues to your supervisor · Follow supervisor’s directives and be able to support the shift team as needed Packaging · Ability to work in a safe manner and follow safety guidelines · Understand and follow Food Safety Policies · Ability to Pack on all Lines at the specified rate · Ability to palletize and make boxes · Ability to bend, scoop and stand for the entire shift · Be able to complete paperwork as needed for position · Train others as needed to increase their skill level · Relieve others as needed, assist or fill in for Operators · Ability to assist in other departments · Ability to clean and organize work areas · Ability to lift 25-50 pounds occasionally Requirements PREFERRED SKILLS · Must be able to communicate with others as well as management · Must have understanding of FDA guidelines and company policies. · Mathematical skills Bilingual is preferred Benefits: · Healthcare coverage including medical, dental and vision · 401k Plan · Short term disability available · Paid holidays, vacation and paid sick leave EEO Statement Pure’s is committed to providing equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, or any other characteristic protected by applicable law.
