Job Details Job Location: Mt Gilead, OH 43338 Position Type: Full Time Job Purpose: - The General Labor / Driver Class A position at Central Ohio Farmers Co-op Inc. is designed to support the operations of the cooperative by ensuring the efficient transportation of goods and materials, as well as assisting with various labor tasks as needed. This role is crucial in maintaining the smooth flow of operations and upholding the quality standards of the cooperative. Key Responsibilities: - Safely operate Class A vehicles to transport goods and materials to designated locations. - Adhere to all traffic and safety regulations while driving and handling materials. - Assist with loading and unloading goods, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage. - Perform routine inspections and maintenance checks on vehicles to ensure operational efficiency. - Collaborate with team members to support various labor tasks, including warehouse operations and inventory management. - Maintain accurate records of deliveries and shipments for reporting purposes. - Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to ensure timely completion of tasks. - Follow all company policies and procedures to uphold the standards of Central Ohio Farmers Co-op Inc. Qualifications Required Experience: -No experience required in a general labor role, but prefer some agriculture knowledge and/or interest in agriculture.. - At least 1 year of experience operating commercial vehicles with a Class A CDL. Required Skills and Abilities: - Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record. - Proficient in operating and maintaining various types of farm equipment and machinery. - Strong understanding of safety protocols and procedures related to both driving and general labor tasks. - Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy objects and working in various weather conditions. - Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. - Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with team members and customers. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating reliability and a strong work ethic.
