Role Description We are currently in search of a self-motivated and detail-oriented candidate to work in the Fabrication Department. The successful candidate is eager to learn, willing to be trained, and has an excellent attendance record. While experience is a huge advantage, we will consider hiring and training someone interested and committed to hard work. We are looking for the right person to fill these positions and become part of the Keiser team. Candidates must be capable of handling basic shop tools and must practice general shop safety. This position is a temp-to-hire using a third-party agency. Employees are evaluated after 90 days and offered a position with the company if they are meeting expectations. JOB REQUIREMENTS Operate, clean, and maintain powered or hand tools depending on the task assigned Move, stack, store, and transfer materials and supplies around the shop and storage areas Understand the company's high standards of cosmetic workmanship Clear working areas by cleaning up rubble, debris, and other waste materials to eliminate possible hazards Additional qualifications include excellent dexterity, mechanical skills, and physical stamina While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly conducts repetitive motion Follow safety guidelines and operate in a safe manner Requirements PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Experience with power tools Manufacturing experience: 6+ months Knowledge of welding and fabrication is an added advantage Certification in specific skill areas, such as welding or precision sheet metal work WORK ENVIRONMENT Fast-paced environment with others relying on completion of tasks Standing for 8+ hours a day, breaks limited to scheduled meals and rest periods Ability to lift up to 25 pounds without assistance Hot environment without AC, fans are available in some areas of the building Dress code is casual: safety-toed work boots required, no tank tops, no shorts All employees are required to wear eye protection while in the shop Employees are encouraged to learn various areas of the department to stay engaged and be more well-rounded EDUCATION High School Diploma or GED required Training through an apprenticeship or technical school is a plus SCHEDULE 8-hour shift, hours TBD (both AM and PM shifts available) Monday through Friday, some Saturdays required based on workload COMPENSATION Non-Exempt position; Pay range: $16.50 - $18.00 hourly Final compensation will be determined and based on experience This range is a good faith estimate of the expected salary for this position, based on a wide range of factors including qualifications, experience and training, operational and business needs, and other considerations permitted by law Quarterly bonus option available for most employees COMPANY BENEFITS Low-cost premiums for Medical and Vision coverage for employees, with the option to add family members Employer-paid Dental coverage for employees and their family members Employer-paid Life Insurance/AD&D and Long-Term Disability Voluntary Flexible Spending Account plan Voluntary AFLAC plans which include life, accident, cancer, etc. 401k with generous employer match Paid time off: accrued vacation and sick time and 8 paid holidays annually Candidates for positions with Keiser Corporation must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
