General Labor (Often times, this is a key in the door to other opportunities) It's Happening, Standard Iron is opening it's roster to add to our team!!! The General Laborer is committed to: - defect free and on time at the lowest cost possible for our customer - prevent exposures and reduce waste at the lowest cost possible for our environment Report to Dept Manager ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Other duties may be assigned): • Follow all set-up and operational procedures to ensure accuracy and quality. • Safely operate forklift or other machinery in order to complete tasks such as loading, unloading, sorting, staging and transporting products. • Supports production workers and staff in various production related tasks. • Ability to practice quality control requirements and to follow written procedures. • Using hand and power tools to grind and fabricate. • Operates all equipment in a safe manner and uses safe work habits. • Maintain a safe and clean working environment including complying with safety procedures, rules, and regulations. MARGINAL JOB FUNCTIONS: The General Labor role is not department or street specific. Will need Valid Drivers License (Possibly short distance travel needed) EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent. Be sure to mention any Manufacturing skills you may possess like: Powder painting, Laser or Brake operation.
