Job Summary: The General Laborer will assist and train in cabinet assembly to learn about our products and processes. Work will include a variety of tasks completed under close supervision. These tasks may include assisting with extra workload, covering absences and vacations, and supplementing crews to meet unusual changes in the production area. Job Duties/Responsibilities: * Closely follows directions, hold or supply materials and tools, and load or unload items on assembly lines * Assembles, packs, loads and unloads material and parts as needed. * Reports any issues to supervisor or higher-level employee. * Performs other related duties as assigned. Requirements: * Good verbal and written communication skills. * Ability to listen, understand, and follow directions. * Ability to work in a variety of roles. * Demonstrated ability to work independently and with others in a team environment. * Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to utilize the tact and diplomacy required to foster a team environment while keeping projects on schedule and budget. * Ability to multi-task in a fast paced, deadline driven environment, as well as a strong attention to detail and accuracy. Supervision Received: Works with minimal supervision. Issues and concerns need to be communicated to supervisor. Qualifications and Education Requirements: * Previous manufacturing experience preferred. * High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Physical Requirements: * Lifting: Occasionally raises objects from a lower to a higher position or moves objects horizontally from position-to position. Weight is usually less than 45 lbs. * Push/Pull: Occasionally uses upper extremities to exert force in order to draw, haul or tug objects in a sustained motion. Weight is usually less than 45 lbs. * Reaching: Extends hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction. Weight is usually less than 45 lbs. * Stooping: Bends body downward and forward at the waist. Weight is usually less than 45 lbs. * Standing: Standing for moderate levels of time. Infrequently more than 30 minutes at a time. * Walking: Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks. In frequently more than 30 minutes at a time. * Manual dexterity is needed to operate a variety of machinery and equipment. * Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and tolerate exposure to typical noises and smells associated with the plant.

Responsibilities

The general laborer will assist with cabinet assembly, material handling, and loading or unloading items on assembly lines. They are also responsible for reporting issues to supervisors and performing related production tasks as assigned.
