Description Job Overview: The Reefer General Laborer is a vital member of the Fremont Reefer Operations team within RMG. The Reefer General Laborer responsibilities include operating forklift, performing pre trips for generator sets and refrigerated containers, and performing other tasks to ensure the success of the department. The Reefer operations are fast paced and require individuals to effectively communicate when operating with or around heavy machinery. Shift: Days M-F (with Saturdays as needed) 6:30am - 4:00pm with overtime as needed Saturday scheduled shift once per month to check temperatures and plug in containers Key Job Duties: Power washing containers Fueling equipment Perform equipment checks for generator sets and reefers Safely and effectively use Run safety pre checks for all equipment before use Operate machinery such as forklift and aerial lifts Properly documenting work performed as instructed Perform other tasks in the yard supporting different departments Requirements Qualifications: High School diploma or GED required Organizational skills Effective verbal and non verbal communication Time management Accurately follows instructions Experience operating software including CMMS and microsoft office product Ability to frequently lift over 50 lbs Ability to work in all weather conditions Ability to push and pull up to 80 pounds occasionally Ability to ascend and descend ladders
