JOB DESCRIPTION

CapsCanada® is presently looking for general labourer’s to join our team.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education: Minimum High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Experience: Previous experience working in a manufacturing or production environment is preferred. Experience in a sanitizing role in a GMP-regulated facility is an asset.
  • Experience: in Pharmaceutical or Nutraceutical manufacturing is considered an asset.
  • Valid G driver’s license.
  • Police Record Check to be provided prior to employment.

SKILLS:

  • Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and safety regulations in a manufacturing setting.
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and cleaning protocols.
  • Basic mechanical skills to disassemble and reassemble production equipment.
  • Attention to detail and high standards for cleanliness and sanitation.
  • Basic mathematical skills.
  • Strong attention to detail to identify and address quality issues.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with various departments and stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and trouble shooting skills.
  • Ability to work independently, and as part of a team with a high degree of professionalism and integrity.
  • Possesses problem solving skills and sound professional judgement.
Responsibilities
  • Equipment Cleaning and Sanitizing:
  • Operate washing and sanitizing equipment to clean production parts, tools, and machinery components used in the capsule manufacturing process.
  • Follow established cleaning procedures and protocols to ensure that equipment is thoroughly cleaned, sanitized, and free of contamination.
  • Disassemble and reassemble production equipment as necessary for proper cleaning.
  • Inspect equipment post-cleaning to ensure all residue and contaminants have been removed.
  • Ensure accurate and complete record keeping and cleaning logs. Including, recording volume of unused product that remains in the tank prior to washing.
  • Notify Supervisors of any concerns or high product loss of gel/hpmc.
  • Complete a Clean Equipment Tag and attach to each piece of clean equipment.
  • Work quickly and efficiently while abiding by company policies and standards.
  • Ensure Washrack washing area floor, drains etc. are kept clean and hoses and cleaning equipment are put away and stored properly, ensuring organization and a clutter free area.
  • Dispose of waste, chemicals, and cleaning materials safely and store cleaning equipment and chemicals in accordance with company policies and environmental regulations.
