OVERVIEW

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Heavy Equipment Operator to join our client’s team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and experience operating various types of heavy machinery. This role is crucial for ensuring that our projects are completed efficiently and safely. The Equipment Operator will work on a variety of tasks, including digging, paving, and building, while adhering to all safety standards and protocols.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven experience in operating heavy machinery, farming equipment, particularly machines such as loaders, backhoes, bulldozers, excavators and graders etc.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
  • Valid G Driver’s License is mandatory.
  • Clear drivers abstract is mandatory.
  • Must have their own vehicle to commute to site location.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety practices.
  • Physical stamina to perform manual labor tasks associated with the operation of heavy equipment.
  • Capable of lifting heavy, such as 50lb or more as needed
  • A positive attitude with a willingness to learn new skills related to equipment operation.
Responsibilities
  • Operate heavy equipment such as loaders, backhoes, bulldozers, excavators graders, and Caterpillar machinery - to transport them.
  • Safely operate the heavy machinery and equipment to move them.
  • Ensure proper maintenance of equipment by conducting regular inspections and reporting any issues.
  • Collaborate with team members to complete assigned duties on time and within specified time.
  • Follow safety guidelines to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and others.
  • Assist in the preparation of job sites and preparing materials for transport.
  • Maintain accurate records of equipment usage and project progress.
