The Position: We’re looking for someone to be a part of our Production Team as a General Labourer. You would be contributing to the team by:
· Running the floor scrubber to keep the floor clean
· Changing out filters to keep the air clean
· Working with production, shipping, and / or maintenance when they need an extra set of hands
· This position is a great first step to showing us what you can do and moving into a different position on the alfa team!
Your team will include Machine Operators, Shippers, and Maintenance Personnel who will all help support you to get the job done.
Pay: Pay range is $18 - $20 / hr to start based upon experience, your ability to be productive independently and your contribution to the alfa team. We review pay annually and it increases with ability as well as dedication and effort (e.g. how independent you are, your knowledge of our parts and potential defects; your attendance and punctuality; in a small company we know WHO does WHAT! Your effort will not go unnoticed here).
Shift: The General Labourer is a day shift position.
Working Conditions: The General Labourer will spend 100% of their time in the plant environment. Exercise that includes standing, walking and the lifting are all part of the job!

WHAT SKILLS YOU SHOULD HAVE:

· Attention to detail
· Basic math skills
· Comfortable lifting up to 25 lbs
· Demonstrated strong work ethic with a determination to complete duties well and on time
· Commitment and responsibility towards quality of work completed daily
· Comfortable working in a factory environment
· Ability to read, write, and communicate in English

WHAT EXPERIENCE YOU SHOULD HAVE:

· Mechanical aptitude is an asset
· Automotive experience is an asset
