GENERAL LABOURER (CONTRACT) – DAWSON CREEK HOSPITAL PROJECT

Location: Dawson Creek, BC
Job Type: Full-time, Project-based (3–6 month contract, possibility of extension)
Compensation: $25.00 – $28.00 per hour (based on experience) + Opportunity for Bonus

JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking reliable and skilled General Labourers / Material Handlers to support our team on the Dawson Creek Hospital construction project. This is a contract position expected to last 3–6 months, with the possibility of extension. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-focused, and capable of handling heavy and valuable materialsresponsibly while assisting with inventory control, site housekeeping, and following infection prevention measures.

REQUIREMENTS

• Previous construction or labour experience required (material handling an asset)
• Experience in cleaning, housekeeping, or equipment operation (scrubbers/vacuums) is an asset
• Physically capable of lifting and moving heavy materials safely
• Reliable, punctual, and accountable with strong attention to detail
• Ability to handle valuable materials responsibly
• Comfortable assisting with inventory tracking and logistics
• Experience on healthcare or hospital projects is an asset
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Full PPE required: hard hat, hi-vis vest, steel-toe boots, gloves, safety glasses

• Safely move, stage, and organize heavy and valuable construction materials
• Perform housekeeping duties such as sweeping, vacuuming, and cleaning floors
• Operate basic cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers
• Assist with inventory control, including receiving, tracking, and organizing deliveries
• Support supervisors with material coordination and site housekeeping
• Complete basic safety paperwork and ensure compliance with protocols
• Follow all site safety procedures, including infection prevention measures
