KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE (ESSENTIAL & DESIRABLE)

  • Broad and demonstrable experience in all aspects of heritage building work.
  • A deep understanding of traditional building techniques and materials.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to exceptional craftsmanship.
  • A relevant qualification or substantial on-the-job experience that showcases your expertise.

Responsibilities

PURPOSE & OBJECTIVES

  • Carry out trades and site activities to a high standard.

MAIN DUTIES & TASKS

  • Carry out general labouring activities on site and examples of this can include:
  • Labourer to trades.
  • Clearing sites of materials.
  • Collecting and transporting materials.
  • Work effectively with the team to ensure the job is complete on time and to a high standard.
  • Liaise with the clients being polite and refer to Site Foreman where necessary.
  • Ensure all works are carried out to the relevant Health and Safety legislation and work in a safe manner using Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) provided.
  • Ensure the site is tidy at all times.
  • Support the induction for new site staff and passing on knowledge and doing on the job training for apprentices.
  • Keep own carpentry and appropriate building skills and knowledge up to date.
  • Be flexible in approach to hours and undertake any other similar duties, as required by the Contract Manager.
