We are currently hiring a General Laborer to join our production team, which will include membership in the local union.
Hours – 1st shift Monday - Friday, 7:30am - 4:00pm
Starting Pay: CA$20.55/hr

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

· Effective communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
· Tenacity in overcoming obstacles while maintaining productive and positive working relationships.
· Ability to execute in a rapidly changing fast paced environment that requires strong teamwork.
· Understanding of all tools, gages, equipment, and other various instruments used to perform position.
· Basic ability to understand blueprints, schematics, and instrumentation diagrams.
· Skill in performing accurate arithmetic functions involving addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division; using decimals, percentages, fractions, and ratios.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

One plus year of experience in a relevant manufacturing setting.

POSITION PURPOSE:

This position is responsible for assisting our experienced production workers to perform tasks. The General Laborer position is responsible for a variety of duties including but not limited to prep work for operations, performing assembly operations, assisting Painters on the paint line, breaking out punched parts, packaging finished goods, etc. This position may operate a forklift as needed.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

· Assist Operators to ensure the highest quality of production is achieved.
· Perform assembly operations.
· Assist in loading and unloading of materials.
· Assist in packaging product.
· Maintain full working knowledge of all processes.
· Ensure a clean and organized work environment.
· Conduct himself/herself in a professional manner in accordance with company guidelines.
· Other duties as assigned.
