GENERAL LABOURER POSITION

JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are looking for a hardworking and dependable General Labourer to assist with a variety of manual tasks on our active construction sites. This hands-on role involves supporting skilled tradespeople, maintaining site cleanliness, and ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of construction activities. The ideal candidate will be physically fit, safety-conscious, and have a can-do attitude with a willingness to learn and contribute.

REQUIREMENTS:

Previous experience in a construction or general labour role preferred.
CSCS card (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) is desirable.
Ability to work well in a team and take direction from supervisors.
Full UK driving licence and own transport (preferred but not essential).
Familiarity with basic construction site duties and materials handling.
Basic understanding of site health and safety practices and PPE use.
Flexibility to work varied shifts or extended hours when needed.
Experience with site setup and breakdown (hoarding, signage, fencing, etc.).
Forklift, telehandler, or other plant operation certification (advantageous).

Assist with the preparation and tidying of construction sites.
Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment.
Support tradespeople and site management with various tasks as needed.
Follow site safety protocols and report any hazards or incidents promptly.
Perform general manual labour, including digging, lifting, carrying, and basic demolition.
Maintain a clean and organised working environment.
Help ensure work areas are always safe and secure.
