We are actively hiring General Labourers at our Sofina Foods Inc. chicken processing plant in Wynyard, Saskatchewan. NO previous experience required! We will provide you with on-the-job training in all production areas, operation of motorized equipment where required and an opportunity to hone your accuracy, speed and critical thinking with opportunities to advance into leadership roles.

What we have to offer

• Start time: 7:00 am Monday to Friday (no weekends, evenings or rotations)
• Overtime available
• Hourly rate: $17.69 to start
• Increase to $19.50 after probation
• Increase to $21.32 after one year
• Increase to $21.53 after one year (in some areas)

Responsibilities

• Work in a line production processing chicken plant
• Handle raw meat and orient meat products on conveyor belts
• Cut, remove or trim meat sections
• Package product and apply labels to cartons
• May have to safely operate motorizid power equipment in some roles.
• Any other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Work will be in varied temperature environments ranging from hot to cold, doing repetitive tasks while standing during your work shift.
• Ability to stand for extended hours
• Comfortable working in a Chicken Processing facility, handling raw meat.
• Must be able to communicate in English.
• Good workplace attendance and work ethic is required.
