Description

A leading law firm with a nationally recognised Insurance Group is seeking an experienced Paralegal to join their General Liability team based in Bristol. This opportunity offers a dynamic and varied caseload, primarily involving employers’ and public liability claims, often with a focus on personal injury litigation. The successful candidate will work within a collaborative, high-performing team that operates across both Bristol and London, with links to the Medical and Life Sciences department.

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Demonstrable experience in handling a personal caseload of EL/PL claims and fast-track personal injury litigation.
  • Solid understanding of legal and court procedures relevant to liability claims.
  • Prior exposure to insurance litigation is advantageous but not essential.
  • Strong communication skills—both written and verbal.
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and highly organised with sound judgment on when to seek guidance.
  • Technically proficient in Microsoft Office and case management systems.
  • Financially aware, with the ability to work efficiently within commercial parameters.
  • Team-oriented and committed to contributing to a positive, inclusive workplace culture.

Responsibilities
  • Independently manage a caseload of EL (Employer’s Liability) and PL (Public Liability) claims, including personal injury and fast-track matters.
  • Ensure high-quality client service by adhering to agreed workflows, SLAs, and best practices.
  • Support continuous team improvement through contributions to internal processes, knowledge sharing, training materials, and induction support.
  • Assist in gathering and reporting key Management Information for client and internal use.
  • Participate in the ongoing development of team operations, including procedural enhancements and client engagement initiatives.
  • Attend occasional client meetings and events, primarily in London, as needed.
