We are looking for an engineering professional that is dedicated and passionate about delivering exceptional luxury service. This person will make repairs to hotel equipment and facilities including working on carpentry, plumbing, electrical, A/C refrigeration, locks, tile, carpet, hardware, repair work on boilers, motors, and other associated equipment. They will possess the knowledge on general repair and maintenance. A successful candidate will have attention to detail and be able to work in a fast pace environment with high demands. Previous experience is required. Makes repairs to hotel equipment in carpentry, plumbing, electrical, A/C refrigeration, locks, tile, carpet, hardware, repair work on boilers, motors, and other associated equipment and performs all duties of subordinate positions. Mix and analyze boiler chemicals. Keeps equipment maintenance records. Hotel function set up and dismantles. Special needs for functions. Communicates at daily function briefing. Perform other related duties as assigned or required Assist Journeyman 1/C on major repairs. The individual must be able to perform mental activities such as learning, thinking, following instructions, concentrating, interacting with others, handling stressful situations, selfcontrol, attention to detail and be reliable. On the job training (OJT) in areas of the different trades. Working Conditions - Indoor or outdoor weather conditions, sometimes humid, wet or hot conditions. Heavy lifting, bending, turning, reaching. Ability to perform with the knowledge ability and skills of at least one trade. Ability to lift, and / or carry a maximum of 50 lb. Ability to work unassisted on guest related room work request. Must be fast moving, energetic and enjoy being on his/her feet all day. Must have good written and verbal communication skills; able to think, speak and give instructions in a clear and concise fashion without confusion. Must be self-motivated and results oriented. Ability to project self in a professional manner. Must have a strong ability to work with people, and possess some experience in interpersonal relationships; able to work with people from a variety of ethnic backgrounds. Qualifications Education: High School Graduate. Certificates of a trade. Experience: Prior hospitality experience preferred. Other: CPR Certificate and / or First aid training preferred.
