Established since 1996, we are a leading commercial laundry supplier to hotels, restaurants and leisure facilities across central Scotland. We are now seeking a multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team and ensure our operations run smoothly.
Salary and hours are negotiable for the right candidate. We have part-time and full-time positions available.

Responsibilities

ROLE OVERVIEW

The Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and improving our industrial laundry machinery, site utilities, health & safety practices and general handyman tasks, such as basic building repairs/plant maintenance.
We have a team of available plumbers, joiners and general labourers who you will liaise with and manage jobs that require a multi-skilled team.
You must be competent and experienced at repairing and maintain heavy machinery.
This includes industrial washing machines (150kg capacity), dryers, ironers/rollers, steam boilers, and compressors.
The role requires both planned preventative maintenance and quick response to breakdowns to minimize downtime.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop, implement, and oversee weekly and monthly maintenance schedules for all machinery and plant maintenance.
  • Carry out preventative maintenance and emergency repairs on industrial washing machines, dryers, ironers, and related equipment.
  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults and carry out effective repairs- liaising with specialist engineers where required.
  • Inspect and maintain steam boilers, compressors, and associated plant systems.
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations across all equipment and the warehouse facility.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and reports.
  • Work with external contractors and suppliers when required.
  • Proactively suggest improvements to increase machine efficiency and reduce downtime.
  • Provide daily reports to management on the weekly and monthly maintenance schedules, as well promptly highlighting any breakdowns, or urgent repairs required.
