GENERAL MAINTENANCE

We are seeking a motivated and reliable General Maintenance to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of our greenhouse facilities.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Experience with Hoogendoorn
• Greenhouse maintenance experience an asset.
• Millwright, tool & die and/or general farm maintenance experience are assets.
• Welding experience an asset.
• Ability to perform physical tasks, such as lifting heavy objects, bending, standing for extended periods
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying maintenance needs
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with a diverse team
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work schedules, including occasional weekends or evenings when needed
• Able to work independently, multi-task, and prioritize
• Able to work at heights
• Possess a valid driver’s license
• Speak and understand English
• Spanish will be considered an asset

• General maintenance, repairs on all equipment and facilities
• Diagnose problems and make required repairs and adjustments
• Perform emergency repairs when necessary
• Operate a variety of hand and power tools
• Conducting routine maintenance checks on equipment and machinery
• Troubleshooting and diagnosing mechanical issues
• Performing preventative maintenance
• Collaborating with other team members to ensure equipment and machinery are functioning optimally
• Collaborate with the maintenance team to identify and address equipment malfunctions or breakdowns promptly
• Participate in the organization and inventory management of tools, equipment, and supplies
• Collaborate with other departments as needed to support greenhouse operations and special projects
• Be aware of, and comply with all safety regulations
