Description

Job Summary: Performs various cleaning duties to buildings, grounds, equipment, and vehicles. Safety Sensitive Position: All safety sensitive employees are required to submit to drug and alcohol tests as a condition of employment in accordance with 49 CFR Part 40, 29 & 655 of the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) Drug and Alcohol Program. MetroLink Tulsa’s Drug & Alcohol policy has Zero Tolerance for drug and alcohol. Essential Functions: 1. Performs general cleaning duties at MTTA facilities, buildings, grounds, and equipment subject to inspection utilizing automatic and manual cleaning equipment. 2. Service and clean all equipment. 3. Check and maintain all fluid levels in fleet vehicles. 4. Clean sewer lines and bathrooms. 5. Patch building roofs and parking lot. 6. Fuel, oil, and grease, etc., buses and other MTTA vehicles. 7. Pick up parts from supply warehouse, stores, and runs errands for Maintenance Department by driving a MTTA vehicle. 8. Move furniture and equipment as needed. 9. Probe vehicles and restock media for fareboxes. 10. Wash vehicle exterior as required. 11. Assist with ice and snow removal during winter weather events. 12. Pick up debris, sweep out, thoroughly mop vehicles, wipe down driver and passenger areas and disinfect. 13. Assume additional responsibilities as directed or required. 14. Must report to work on a regular and timely basis. Requirements: Knowledge - High School Diploma or GED required. Must have ability to operate cleaning and other equipment used in the cleaning of equipment, buildings, and grounds, such as steam cleaner, buffer, and forklift, etc. Mental Effort - Must be able to read and understand directions given on work cards and orders, write legible to complete orders, and receive parts and supplies. License - Must be licensed in the state of Oklahoma. Must have a Class D Operators License. Must have received no moving violations within the last 3 years and have no DUI/DWI convictions. Physical - Extensive walking and standing required at least 90% of the time. Requires lifting a maximum of 70 to 100lbs. and lifting parts and materials overhead. Requires ability to withstand exposure to negative surroundings such as uncomfortable weather conditions, dust, engine fumes, toxic chemicals, and extreme noise levels. Must be able to climb on a ladder or other equipment to heights such as building roofs at MTTA facilities. Must be able to crawl or stoop into tight areas and lay horizontal under a vehicle. Audible/Visual Demands - Requires ability to hear directions given; visually perform essential functions for satisfactory job performance. Miscellaneous - Must be willing to work shift hours and days as assigned. Must be safety conscious and avoid accidents if possible.
