Job Description

• Supervise, train, and manage the maintenance team to ensure smooth daily operations
• Assign and schedule maintenance tasks while monitoring progress and quality
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for all hotel equipment and facilities
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC issues promptly
• Oversee emergency repairs to minimize guest disruption and maintain operations
• Maintain the hotel’s physical environment, ensuring all facilities are clean, safe, and functional
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, hotel policies, and local laws
• Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments
• Coordinate and manage external contractors and vendors for specialized maintenance work
• Maintain inventory of tools, equipment, and spare parts, ensuring availability when needed
• Manage maintenance department budgets and control costs effectively
• Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs
• Report maintenance status, challenges, and upcoming needs to hotel management
• Coordinate with other hotel departments to schedule maintenance with minimal guest impact
• Respond promptly to guest maintenance requests and resolve issues efficiently
• Monitor energy consumption and implement energy-saving initiatives to reduce costs

QUALIFICATIONS

• Diploma or degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, or related field) or equivalent technical qualification
• Proven experience (usually 3-5 years) in maintenance supervision, preferably in the hospitality industry or luxury hotels
• Strong knowledge of building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire safety, and elevators
• Good understanding of preventive maintenance practices and safety regulations
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and blueprints
• Skilled in troubleshooting and repairing complex mechanical and electrical issues
• Excellent leadership and team management skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to coordinate with multiple departments and vendors
• Proficient in maintenance management software and Microsoft Office suite
• Knowledge of local safety codes, labor laws, and environmental regulations
• Ability to work under pressure and handle emergency situations efficiently
• Commitment to maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and guest satisfaction
