Responsibilities: Flexible Availability: Must be available for varied shifts, emergency on-call duties, and occasional overtime or off-hours work. Grounds Maintenance: Perform landscaping tasks including mowing, trimming, weeding, pruning, planting, fertilizing, and applying herbicides/pesticides. Outdoor Equipment Care: Maintain, repair, and operate groundskeeping tools and equipment such as mowers, snow blowers, power washers, and irrigation systems. Litter & Snow Removal: Conduct litter control and assist with snow and ice removal across campus as needed. Hard Surface & Lighting Maintenance: Power-wash paved areas, maintain sidewalks, and assist with outdoor lighting repairs and re-lamping. Preventive Maintenance: Perform minor repairs and upkeep of outdoor furniture, structures, and signage; assist with basic plumbing tasks. Indoor Garden Support: Help maintain indoor gardens and related plant care as directed. Safety & Cleanliness: Follow infection control procedures, maintain clean workspaces, and report safety or aesthetic concerns. Documentation & Communication: Record daily work orders and hours; communicate issues to supervisors in writing or electronically. Service Excellence: Uphold a positive, respectful attitude and demonstrate commitment to service excellence in all interactions. Shift: This position will be required to work Monday-Friday, 7 AM - 3:30 PM. May be required to work overtime and other days/shifts based on hospital needs. There will be minimum travel between local sites. Qualifications: High school diploma. Landscaping experience preferred but not required. May in the course of their duties be in rooms where medications are stored. No contact with medications is allowed.
