POSITION DESCRIPTION: GENERAL MANAGER

The General Manager is responsible for overseeing the dining room and ensuring positive and consistent guest experience in order to grow the daily sales of our establishment.
- Full time, permanent, salaried position
- Flexible work schedule required, must be able to work as business needs dictate
- This position requires a team building attitude, great attention to detail and guest satisfaction, an eye for cleanliness and an ability to train the service staff and to communicate to both staff and owners
- oversee all guest facing operations at the restaurant
- train staff to ensure cleanliness and to maintain orderliness in the dining room and any guest facing areas of the restaurant
- take part in all aspects of hiring, staffing and scheduling the service staff
- provide service staff with cohesive and consistent training, develop and implement staff specific learning plans for both concepts
- must have the ability to problem solve guest issues that arise during service
- must be dedicated to providing excellent customer service and improving the guest experience to increase sales
-inventory and ordering of Liquor, wine and beer.
-Optimum 5 an asset

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be available for flexible shifts: weekdays, weekends, and holidays
  • 1 year as a restaurant manager required, wine knowledge an asset
    -Knowledge of Optimum 5 an asset
  • Excellent guest-oriented approach and patience
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • High attention to cleanliness and safety
  • Must speak English fluently and live in Winnipeg area
  • Must be able to independently lift 50 lbs.
  • Must hold valid food handlers certificate
  • Must hold valid Serving It Safe certificate
    Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
    Pay: $53,000.00-$60,000.00 per year

Responsibilities
  • Work independently with no supervision
  • Interview and hire staff
  • Manage staff training
  • Supervise upkeep of guest facing areas (including washrooms)
  • Shift planning to ensure floor is appropriate covered, team is cohesive during service, flow of orders to the kitchen is manageable by culinary team
  • Input new items as required on POS, notify appropriate parties of any issues with 3rdparty delivery or online ordering platforms
  • Perform weekly LWB inventory, input inventory, action variances
  • Lead staff during shifts to minimize overtime and keep staff on task, motivated and focused
  • Ensure that food comes out for each table in a timely manner, ensuring high quality of preparation as well as presentation
  • Comply with food safety and sanitation regulations as well as company work safety standards
  • Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and guests
  • Work with other managers to plan special events, launch new menus and provide input on marketing plan for each concept
  • Other duties as required.
