Description Piedmont Service Group is seeking a General Manager to lead our growing Myrtle Beach, SC branch serving Northeast and Coastal South Carolina. The General Manager is responsible for setting the vision, strategy and tactical plans of this branch as well as building the team to fulfill the agreed business goals and objectives. The General Manager leads sales, operations, and customer service teams and gives balanced attention to business, customer and employee engagement focus areas. Essential Functions · Assumes full sales and operational responsibility for profit and loss (P&L) activities. · Builds a team and work culture that drives loyalty and engagement at the customer and employee level. · Provides a strong sales management focus to HVAC maintenance and service project sales teams. Conducts sales meetings and pipeline reviews to ensure sales objectives are being met or exceeded. · Performs business analytics and financial analysis to identify trends or prospective problems areas and acts on this knowledge. Participates in monthly financial and operational reviews. · Develops strategy and corresponding business plans and budgets that support the growth strategy and vision. · Provides oversight, discipline, and compliance with all transactional parts of the business including work order management, contract fulfillment, invoicing, collections, time entry/approval, etc. · Directs training, coaching, and performance management activities as required to achieve individual and collective professional development and team success. · Collaborates with other managers throughout the organization to ensure efficient sharing of resources between other business units and branches including training and technical support as well as service and project resources. · Serves as a visible leader in the community and represents Piedmont Service Group as a brand ambassador through active engagement in local industry, civic, and networking events. · Participates and supports our safety culture as directed by our Safety Director. Requirements · Knowledge of the HVAC and/or mechanical services industry. · Bachelor’s degree is strongly preferred, with five (5) or more years of leadership and management experience in a service-based industry. · Strong business acumen and understanding of financial statements. · 5+ years of B2B sales or sales management experience. · Intermediate skill level with Microsoft Office products; Word, Excel, etc. · Must have successfully built teams and managed others. · Strong verbal and written communication skills and great interpersonal style. · Ability to work in a collaborative work environment fostering teamwork. · Must be able to lead and motivate others in a manner that supports extreme customer and employee engagement.
