Description

Brightwake Fabrications are primarily specialists in the design, manufacture and installation of structural and secondary steelwork solutions for a wide range of customers and developments.
We are currently looking for a General Manager to join our team. Reporting directly to the Group Manging Director, they will oversee the operational management of both on site and workshop activities, ensuring that projects are delivered on time and in budget following all agreed process and legislation. Key responsibilities include:
· To be the main point of contact for the customer once contracts have been signed and agreed.
· Liaising with clients for project timescales and plans (programming). Relaying any changes that require contractual or cost changes to the Commercial Manager.
· Liaising with suppliers for prices and lead times.
· Conducting site visits in collaboration with the H&S Manager, where necessary, ensuring that any issues are dealt with in a timely and professional manner to ensure the smooth progression of projects.
· Revision on quotes in the absence of the Commercial Manager
· Oversight of the daily running of any site works
· Compiling a bi-weekly report of all current enquiries, current projects, contractual variations, future projects and operational issues for the Group Directors.
· Assisting with writing RAMS as required.
The successful candidate will have previous experience of working in a similar role and ideally an Engineering qualification along with any of the following: CSCS, SMSTS, IPAF, PASMA and, IOSH Managing Safety. With the ability to read fabrication drawings and manage budgets you must be able to demonstrate excellent Microsoft office skills, working knowledge of structural and architectural metalwork, safe working practices for fabrication workshop and on site installations and have a working knowledge of CE/UKCA Quality Systems.
