Description
We are looking for a senior leader in the Business Development and Commercial Contracts function, responsible for achieving defined targets. The role will engage with senior stakeholders across the Vena India organisation and lead internal investment approvals, project development, and bidding activities. Key Responsibilities: Provide strategic inputs on new business opportunities. Contribute to building a competitive pipeline of projects for bidding. Provide expertise on all regulatory aspects related to business development, project implementation, bidding guidelines, and PPAs, including representation with external stakeholders. Deliver on supplier engagements, including initiation, identification, counterparty diligence, relationship ownership, joint development terms and conditions, pricing, and technology selection. Maintain a strong external focus by engaging with MNRE, MoP, and key government bodies such as SPDA and WIPPA, while fostering competitor networks across Wind, Solar, and Storage, and strengthening strategic relationships with Developers and OEMs. Deliver on all pre-construction activities, including LoAs, PPA negotiations and signing, and provide post-handover assistance as required. Negotiate, review, and deliver various contracts for project execution with support from the procurement team. Prerequisites: Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Engineering) with a postgraduate qualification in Business/Management, CA, or equivalent. Minimum 14 years of relevant experience, with at least 5–7 years in the Renewable Energy sector. Proven experience in handling Renewable Energy projects. Strong knowledge of the Indian market, regulations, and established relationships with suppliers, developers, and competitors. Comprehensive understanding of project development, land procurement, techno-commercial aspects, legal and regulatory matters, and contract closure.
