REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS

  • Proven and more than 15 years of working experiences in construction management
  • Advanced knowledge of construction management processes, means and methods in civil and structural engineering works
  • Expert knowledge of building products, construction details and relevant rules, regulations and quality standards in relation to Singapore’s temporary site facilities and site office and other temporary construction site facilities
  • Good command in mandarin and able to communicate effectively with Chinese associate and workers
  • Understanding of all facets of the construction process
  • Ability to plan and see the “big picture” and plan ahead
  • Competent in conflict and crisis management, as well as site interpersonal effective communications
  • Leadership and human resources management skills
  • Excellent time, schedule, safety, and project management skills
  • Expert knowledge in construction management, architecture, engineering or related fields
  • A diploma in relevant field is an advantage but not a must.
  • Good networking and resourceful in Singapore construction industry; Ability to introduce investors and or partners to the company is an advantage

Responsibilities
  • Oversee and direct construction projects from conception to completion and handover to clients
  • Review the project in-depth to schedule various resources, deliverables and estimate costs
  • Oversee all onsite and offsite constructions to monitor compliance with project specifications, building and safety regulations
  • Coordinate and direct construction engineers, workers and subcontractors
  • Select suitable tools, materials, plant and equipment and track inventory
  • Meet contractual conditions of performance requirements
  • Review, monitor and adjust the work progress on daily basis
  • Manager and the preparation of internal and external reports pertaining to job status in all aspects with the assistant of engineers
  • Plan ahead to prevent problems and resolve any emerging issues effectively and sensibly
  • Negotiate major terms and conditions of agreements, guide the drafting of contracts and obtain permits and licences
  • Analyse, manage and mitigate risks in the entire execution process
  • Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques
