Responsibilities

Crown Sydney is seeking to appoint a strategic leader to the role of General Manager – Crown PlaySafe. Reporting into the Chief of Staff, this critical role will see you leading the strategies and initiatives of the operational suite of our Responsible Gaming services. As the lead advocate for Crown PlaySafe (CPS) and harm minimisation, you will oversee the development and roll out of cross functional projects, initiatives and strategic development.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Leadership of the Crown Sydney CPS team as well as the responsibility for the daily operations of the CPS Centre
  • Leading critical communication between CPS, Executive Management, Property and Group boards and the wider business through channels including preparing material and speaking to relevant committees and forums
  • Driving initiatives, conversations, training and engagements to continue building a culture of harm minimisation, safer play, continuous improvement and risk awareness across the Gaming and Resort business units
  • Management of external stakeholder relationships including Government bodies, peak bodies, and relevant welfare organisations to ensure positive business outcomes and Crown’s profile
  • Delivering critical initiatives, projects and workstreams aligned to CPS Strategy and Business requirements
  • Staying abreast of evolving research, regulatory and compliance requirements, risk considerations and community expectations to ensure social and compliance obligations are met, and Crown Sydney remains a responsible corporate citizen.
  • Ongoing review and contribution to the development of Crown’s CPS strategic plan

Key selection criteria:

  • Extensive experience in a leadership role, preferably in a casino or hospitality environment
  • Demonstrated ability to work with Government and community groups
  • Exceptional written and verbal communications skills coupled with the ability to influence stakeholders
  • Strong understanding of compliance and regulatory processes
  • Tertiary qualifications highly desirable
  • Has or is able to obtain a Casino Employee License
