It’s a new chapter with more possibilities.​ The Purpose: The purpose of the General Manager - Delivery, role is to lead the end-to-end delivery of AP+ programs and projects across the Delivery portfolio, ensuring clear strategy, disciplined execution and realisation of business benefits. The role is to be Sydney based and accountable for robust delivery governance, financial and risk management, and for building high-performing teams and partnerships that deliver safe, reliable and customer-centric payment services for all AP+ stakeholders. The core accountabilities of the role will include: Provide strategic leadership of the delivery portfolio, ensuring alignment with AP+ strategy and group priorities. Implement delivery strategies, standards and frameworks that support effective, repeatable and scalable execution. Govern delivery outcomes through robust risk, compliance and assurance practices, ensuring regulatory, security and policy requirements are met. Ensure effective benefits management for major initiatives, ensuring benefits are clearly defined, tracked and realised in partnership with business owners. Own financial management for the delivery portfolio, including budgeting, forecasting, cost control and value optimisation. Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships across AP+ brands, member institutions, regulators and vendors to enable successful delivery. Lead, coach and develop a high-performing delivery leadership team, fostering accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement. Establish and maintain clear performance and measurement frameworks for delivery, including KPIs, reporting and insights to inform decisions. Champion delivery excellence and continuous improvement, leveraging lessons learned, innovation and best practice to uplift organisational capability. Contribute as a senior leader to broader AP+ strategy, culture and change, modelling AP+ values and cross-group collaboration. Success in this role requires demonstrated capability in the following areas: Tertiary qualifications in business, technology, engineering or a related discipline. Post-graduate qualifications in management, finance or a related field desirable. Relevant certification in project, programme, portfolio or agile delivery (e.g. PRINCE2, MSP, PMP, Agile/Scrum) highly regarded. Extensive senior leadership experience in complex, multi-stakeholder environments, ideally within financial services, payments or other regulated industries. Proven track record in leading large, multi-stream delivery portfolios or programmes end-to-end, from strategy and business case through to operational handover and benefits realisation. Demonstrated experience in financial management, risk and governance, and in managing external partners and vendors to deliver critical services. Deep working knowledge of delivery methodologies and frameworks (e.g. agile, waterfall, hybrid), portfolio management and benefits realisation. Strong understanding of the Australian payments’ ecosystem, including regulatory, risk, security and operational considerations. Sound knowledge of organisational performance management, measurement and reporting practices to support data-driven decision-making.
