The Role Pullman Standard is an upscale cocktail lounge located in Nashville’s historic Cummins Station. Known for top-tier spirits, thoughtful cocktails, and polished service, Pullman Standard offers a space that feels intentional, energetic, and timeless. We are seeking a General Manager who understands that great bars are built on people, standards, and presence — and who can lead all three with confidence and consistency. What You’ll Own Leadership & Culture • Set and uphold the tone of Pullman Standard — warm, professional, and hospitality-forward • Lead by example with a strong floor presence and clear expectations • Hire, develop, and retain a high-performing team • Create accountability while fostering trust and consistency Guest Experience • Ensure every guest experience reflects Pullman Standard’s reputation for excellence • Maintain consistency in service, cocktails, food execution, and atmosphere • Resolve guest concerns with confidence and discretion • Manage the rhythm and energy of the room Operations & Business Management • Oversee daily operations, scheduling, and labor management • Maintain compliance with Tennessee liquor laws and safety standards • Manage inventory, vendors, cost controls, and financial performance • Read and act on P&L statements Programming & Brand Stewardship • Collaborate on cocktail, wine, and menu development • Oversee private events and special programming • Ensure promotions feel intentional and on-brand Who You Are • 5+ years of management experience in upscale bars or cocktail lounges • Strong leadership, communication, and financial acumen • Calm, decisive, and confident under pressure • Deep knowledge of cocktails, spirits, wine, and service standards This Role Is a Strong Fit If You… • Enjoy being present on the floor, especially during peak hours • Take pride in setting and holding high standards • Prefer collaboration and accountability over micromanagement • Thrive in late-night hospitality environments This role may not be the right fit if you are seeking a primarily administrative or daytime position.
