Operations are based in the Williston Basin in northwestern North Dakota and we provide services across North America. The General Manager works closely with an affiliated work over rig business to parlay of synergies in the market area that brings a dynamic aspect to this employment opportunity. Key Responsibilities

  • Department of Transportation (DOT) Compliance: Keep abreast of all DOT rules, guidelines, and changes affecting heavy haul trucking. Ensure that all operations comply with federal, state, and local transportation laws and safety standards.
  • Supervision of Personnel: Provide hands-on leadership and supervision to our team of drivers, dispatchers, and mechanics. Promote a culture of respect, accountability, and professionalism throughout all departments.
  • Driver Management: Oversee recruitment, training, scheduling, and performance evaluation of drivers. Foster an environment where safety, operational excellence, and customer service are top priorities.
  • Dispatcher Oversight: Supervise dispatch activities to guarantee efficient load planning, scheduling, and route optimization. Monitor and provide direction to optimize equipment utilization. Support dispatch staff in resolving challenges and delivering exceptional communication at all times.
  • Mechanics Coordination: Manage and coordinate maintenance schedules, repairs, and preventative maintenance for the fleet. Ensure all vehicles meet rigorous safety standards and are road-ready at all times.
  • Marketing and Business Development: Collaborate with the marketing team to identify new business opportunities, strengthen customer relationships, and promote our services within the industry. Lead marketing initiatives, attend industry events, and represent the company with professionalism and enthusiasm.
  • Budgeting and Financial Oversight: Collaborate on budgeting, financial planning, and cost control measures. Analyze operational data to identify efficiencies, minimize waste, and drive profitability.
  • Customer Relations: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and partners, ensuring that their needs are met in a timely and professional manner. Address concerns and deliver solutions that demonstrate our commitment to excellence.
  • Continuous Improvement: Lead ongoing efforts toward operational improvement, process efficiency, and innovation. Encourage staff to contribute ideas and foster a workplace culture dedicated to growth and adaptability.
  • Reporting and Analytics: Prepare regular reports on performance, safety, compliance, and business outcomes. Utilize data and analytics to inform decisions and strategic planning.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

  • CDL License: Must hold and maintain a valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL). * Supervisory Experience: Proven experience in a supervisory role within the transportation, logistics, or related industry. Demonstrated ability to lead teams, motivate staff, and resolve conflicts constructively.
  • DOT Expertise: Thorough understanding of Department of Transportation rules and requirements, ideally with hands-on experience in heavy haul trucking and regulatory compliance.
  • Technical Acumen: Familiarity with truck and trailer maintenance, mechanics, and fleet management. Ability to coordinate repairs and communicate effectively with technical staff.
  • Marketing Prowess: Previous experience or strong interest in marketing and business development. Ability to represent the company at industry events and foster business growth.
