Description

Objective of the position:
The factory director (reporting to COO) will lead and oversee the factory (around 2000 headcount) operations that comprises production, quality, product development, technology, human resources, and finance. He/she will be providing leadership to the organization to achieve the business goals in delivery, budgeting and cost control, quality, efficiency, sustainability, and profitability.

Responsibilities:

  • Set strategic direction for the factory and its various functional units, develop strategic plan to drive factory efficiency and profitability.
  • Lead, supervise and coordinate teams in production, quality, product developments, technology, HR, and finance to achieve operational efficiency and synergy.
  • Develop and implement plan to improve factory competitiveness and achieve sustainability goals.
  • Analyze and identify the gaps and inefficiencies in the factory, develop plans to effectively address them.
  • Manage factory cost and expenses, put in place an effective budget control.
  • Coach and mentor future leaders, provide training to relevant departments on leadership, industry best practice etc.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor and above qualifications in any discipline, education background in textile and apparel is a plus.
  • Minimum 8 years of work experience in textile and apparel industry, familiar with apparel technologies and manufacturing process, and minimum 3 years in a leadership position.
  • Organized, responsible and ability to demonstrate leadership in a large organization.
  • Computer literacy in MS office applications.
