Description

An exceptional opportunity to lead the Germany commercial business of a high-performance global instrumentation & technology company that protects water quality around the world.
This will suit a General Manager / Senior Commercial Leader from a B2B technology or equipment sales background, who has owned P&L, developed large teams (including managers) and consistently delivered accelerated growth.

EDUCATION, BACKGROUND AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Progressive commercial experience including a sales background and P&L business leadership within largescale, international B2B organizations (ideally hardware / technology instrumentation / diagnostic tools etc)
  • Demonstrated track record of driving commercial growth with a focus on customer acquisition, market share expansion and operating margins
  • Seasoned leader and a ‘manager of managers’, ideally on a national scale, providing inspiration, coaching and mentorship to multiple sales/services leaders
  • Has both strategic and tactical capabilities, can analyze the market, competitors and company strengths and weaknesses while designing winning commercial strategies
  • Strong operational and analytical mindset. Comfortable managing a complex, high-performance and KPI-driven business with a strong focus on data, reporting and continuous improvement
  • Superior interpersonal and communication skills (speak fluent German and English)
  • Flexible to travel across Germany 2-3 days a week
  • Bachelor’s degree required, MBA or Masters preferred
Responsibilities
  • Deliver Country Business Target Revenue, costs and profits as well as Country Working Capital
  • Develop and execute commercial strategies to achieve accelerated growth targets while increasing customer satisfaction.
  • Be an active communicator throughout the organization, build strong relationships with teams, peers, Senior Management and Global stakeholders to maximize our “win as a team” spirit
  • Provide outstanding leadership that promotes followership, professional development and engagement through shared purpose and values
  • Act as the Managing Director of the local entity in Germany
