GENERAL MANAGER JOB DESCRIPTION

Klipsch Senior Care, LLC. d/b.a. Home Instead
Objective: The General Manager at Klipsch Senior Care will successfully direct and coordinate all franchise activities to drive growth and development, reflecting the core values of Klipsch Senior Care. This role is responsible for developing and managing the annual franchise operational plan and budget, achieving revenue, gross profit, profitability, and operational goals. They will provide leadership and management across all departments, including finance, staffing, human resources, client services, and home care sales, ensuring operational efficiency and goal attainment. The General Manager will manage departmental outcomes, drive necessary changes, develop and maintain positive referral source relationships, and ensure adherence to all company policies, procedures, and ethical standards.

Primary Responsibilities:
o Reflect the core values of Klipsch Senior Care, LLC, (d.b.a. an independently owned and operated Home Instead franchise).
o Develop and manage the annual franchise operational plan and budget.
o Achieve the annual operational plan’s revenues, gross profit, profitability and other operational goals by the stated milestones.
o Provide leadership and management of all Home Instead® departments such as scheduling, Care Professional recruitment and engagement, client services, home care sales and business development which affect operational efficiency and achievement of the operational goals.
o Participate in sales calls, leadership calls and other KSC/Home Instead meeting/conferences
o Manage outcomes of all department activities and direct changes that will drive achievement of operational goals.
o Demonstrate a sales-driven mindset with a focus on achieving targets and contributing to business growth.
o Develop and maintain positive and professional relationships with referral sources in the community.
o Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes and ensure that they are implemented and communicated to all employees.
Secondary Responsibilities:
o Maintain and establish strong relationships with neighboring franchise owners
o Maintain and establish strong relationships with the Home Instead, Inc. Business Performance team
o Perform any and all other functions and responsibilities deemed necessary for the successful operation of a Home Instead franchise office

Education/Experience Requirements:

  • College degree preferred or equivalent work experience
  • Three to five years of related business experience or an equivalent combination of education and work experience may be considered
  • Experience with Microsoft Teams and other virtual meeting platforms is required.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position will be responsible for overseeing all of the functions performed by the office staff. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees, planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance, coaching employees’ performance; problem resolution while seeking positive outcomes

o Must have computer skills and be proficient in Sales Force, client care systems, scheduling software, Word and Excel
o Must be able to work evenings or weekends as required

EXPERIENCE

  • Proven experience in restaurant management or a similar role within the food industry is essential.
  • Strong background in food service management with experience in quick service & fast food restaurants preferred.
  • Familiarity with culinary practices, kitchen management, and food production techniques is required.
  • Experience in supervising staff, including training & development initiatives.
  • Demonstrated ability in budgeting and financial management within a hospitality context.
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations is crucial for maintaining compliance.
  • Previous experience in casual dining or fine dining settings is highly desirable.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee all aspects of restaurant operations, including food preparation, cooking, and service.

  • Utilize POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for efficient transaction processing and reporting.
  • Handle cash management duties, including cash handling and reconciliation.
  • Train, develop, and supervise staff to maintain high standards of service and performance.
  • Implement training programs for new hires focusing on food handling, customer service, and operational procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and safe environment for both staff and customers.
  • Develop budgets and manage financial performance to achieve operational goals.
  • Foster a positive team environment through effective communication and leadership practices.
  • Address customer inquiries and complaints promptly to enhance guest satisfaction.
  • Coordinate special events, catering services, and banquet operations as needed.
