The Wellington Hotel boasts 19 elegantly appointed guest suites and cabins, a refined fine dining restaurant with an inviting outdoor patio, a sophisticated speakeasy-style bar, and a tranquil spa. Complementing these offerings, the property features distinctive spaces designed to host innovative, bespoke programming and experiences, ensuring an unforgettable and immersive stay for every guest.

POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking an experienced, dynamic, and innovative General Manager (GM) with a strong background in food and beverage to lead our hotel as it prepares for its grand opening and beyond. The General Manager will oversee the pre-opening and opening phases of the hotel, ensuring all operations align with the highest standards of service and Wellington’s unique offerings. As GM, you will be the face of the hotel, responsible for ensuring operational excellence, delivering world-class guest experiences, and maintaining profitability. You will bring a passion for luxury hospitality and a deep understanding of how exceptional food and beverage programs enhance the guest journey.

GUEST EXPERIENCE AND SERVICE EXCELLENCE

  • Champion a culture of personalized, anticipatory service that exceeds guest expectations.
  • Develop and implement unique guest programming that takes full advantage of the property’s outlets and location, blending nostalgia with modern luxuries
  • Ensure consistent delivery of high-quality service across all departments

CREATIVE PROGRAMMING AND EXPERIENCES

  • Develop custom programming and events that leverage the property’s diverse outlets, including the spa, outdoor spaces, and bar.
  • Create partnerships with local businesses to provide curated experiences for guests, highlighting the best of Wellington.
  • Ensure the hotel remains a vibrant destination for both guests and the local community.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years in luxury hotel management, with a strong focus on food and beverage operations.
  • Pre-Opening Experience: Demonstrated success in opening and/or repositioning boutique luxury properties is highly preferred.
  • Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead, inspire, and manage a diverse team.
  • F&B Expertise: Comprehensive knowledge of culinary trends, menu development, and beverage programs.
  • Financial Acumen: Proficiency in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  • Guest Focus: A passion for creating memorable guest experiences and upholding service excellence.
  • Education: Degree in Hospitality Management, Business, or a related field preferred.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
