Job Description ibis Astana is seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager to lead our hotel operations in Astana, Kazakhstan. As the General Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the hotel's performance, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, and driving business growth. Develop and implement strategic plans to maximize revenue, profitability, and guest satisfaction Lead and inspire a team of department heads and staff to deliver outstanding service Ensure compliance with ibis brand standards and local regulations Manage the hotel's financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control Develop and maintain relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders Implement marketing and sales strategies to increase occupancy and revenue Oversee all operational aspects, including rooms, food and beverage, and maintenance Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth Ensure the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and security throughout the property Resolve guest complaints and address any operational issues promptly and effectively Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field; advanced degree or hospitality management certification preferred Minimum 5-7 years of experience in hotel management, with previous experience as a General Manager or Assistant General Manager Proven track record of successfully managing hotel operations and driving financial performance Strong knowledge of hotel management software, revenue management, and financial management principles Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop team members Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities In-depth understanding of the hospitality industry and current market trends Familiarity with ibis brand standards and procedures Knowledge of the local market in Astana, Kazakhstan Fluency in English; knowledge of Kazakh and/or Russian is a plus Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as required Additional Information Located in the heart of Kazakhstan’s capital, ibis Astana offers 249 modern rooms, a vibrant restaurant and bar, and versatile meeting spaces.
