Description
  As a General Manager in Training (GMIT), you will undergo an accelerated leadership development program aimed at equipping you with the skills and knowledge necessary to step into a General Manager (GM) role within 1 to 6 months. During your training period, you will closely collaborate with various General Managers, VP of Stores, and other leadership teams to understand all facets of store operations. Upon successful completion of the training program and once a General Manager position becomes available, you will be promoted to a GM role, taking full ownership of the store’s Operational Plan and driving business results. Training Focus Areas: * Leadership development through coaching and mentorship from General Managers and VP of Stores. * Hands-on learning in sales management, people development, merchandise management, and business acumen. * Exposure to critical decision-making in store operations, financial analysis, and strategic business planning. * Development of advanced customer service and sales strategies, with an emphasis on achieving performance targets. Key Responsibilities During Training Sales Management * Training Objective: Master sales floor leadership and associate coaching. * Work alongside various General Managers and Floor Managers to understand sales floor dynamics, including guest flow, sales strategies, and maximizing sales opportunities. * Learn to design sales floor coverage strategies that optimize guest interactions and sales associate productivity. * Assist in creating a positive work environment and fostering a culture of teamwork and collaboration. * Shadow various General Managers, Floor Managers, Office Coordinators in the utilization of the Salesforce system to track performance metrics, guest interactions, and sales targets. People Development * Training Objective: Learn talent acquisition, associate development, and performance management. * Participate in hiring, onboarding, and training new sales associates with guidance. * Gain experience in delivering behaviorally specific feedback to associates, conducting performance evaluations, and managing succession plans. * Build and maintain a collaborative and performance-driven team culture. Merchandise Management * Training Objective: Master the processes of inventory control, product knowledge, and merchandise display. * Complete extensive product training, gaining expert knowledge in all merchandise categories. * Assist in ensuring that all merchandise is displayed according to company visual standards and that security protocols are consistently followed. * Learn how to coach sales associates on maximizing gross margin during the sales process. Business Acumen * Training Objective: Understand and apply financial analysis and business strategy. * Learn how to analyze financial data, including budgets, sales performance, and expenses, to identify opportunities and risks. * Participate in developing and executing strategies to improve store performance and achieve financial goals. * Work through real-life business challenges to hone your problem-solving and strategic planning skills. Store Operations and Maintenance * Training Objective: Learn operational procedures, maintenance management, and guest experience enhancement. * Assist in ensuring store operations comply with company policies, including opening and closing procedures. * Learn to address operational issues such as store maintenance and guest experience in a timely and efficient manner.
