GENERAL MANAGER – LUXURY FIVE-STAR HOTEL | EAST AFRICA

Our client operates a prominent, high-volume five-star city hotel in East Africa and is seeking an experienced and polished General Manager to lead its dynamic team. The property features over 180 rooms, five food and beverage outlets, and extensive conference and event facilities. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in delivering exceptional guest experiences with more than 350 guests regularly in-house.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum 5 years’ experience as General Manager in a luxury hotel with 150+ rooms
• Prior background with international brands such as Marriott, Hilton, etc., is highly advantageous
• Proven ability to manage large teams and multiple F&B outlets – this is essential
• Middle East experience is a must; exposure to Africa or remote/hardship locations is a strong plus
• Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Hospitality Management
• Fluent in English with outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills
• Strong financial acumen, business sense, and meticulous attention to detail
• Practical, hands-on leader with the ability to problem-solve, multitask, and prioritise effectively
• Skilled in leading and motivating diverse, multicultural teams with sensitivity and efficiency
• Excellent guest interaction and service standards
