Description Company Overview Equipto Manufacturing designs and manufactures metal storage, shelving, and material handling solutions for industrial and commercial customers. Position Summary The General Manager of Equipto has full P&L responsibility for Equipto’s manufacturing operations, including plant execution, installation operations, and permitting. This role is accountable for translating strategy into operational results and delivering consistent performance across safety, quality, delivery, and cost. The General Manager provides hands-on leadership across production, maintenance, quality, inventory execution, and continuous improvement, while supporting and partnering with HR, Finance, and Supply Chain to ensure disciplined execution, scalability, and strong business performance. Key Responsibilities Own full P&L responsibility for the manufacturing operation with accountability for cost, margin, and operational performance. Lead all plant operations, including production, maintenance, quality, inventory execution, and continuous improvement. Drive measurable improvements in safety, quality, delivery, and cost through disciplined operating rhythms and lean manufacturing practices. Forecast and plan staffing, training, equipment, and capacity needs to support demand and growth. Review and adjust production schedules based on order intake and forecast data to meet delivery and quality targets. Oversee equipment reliability and preventive maintenance for metal fabrication equipment, including CNC machinery and fabrication tools. Lead operational turnarounds, lean implementations, and capacity expansion initiatives as required. Oversee installation operations and permitting to ensure compliant, on-time project execution. Partner cross-functionally with sales, engineering, and product teams to ensure manufacturability, cost control, and execution alignment. Functional Support & Partnership HR: Support workforce planning, leadership development, performance management, employee engagement, and safety culture in partnership with Human Resources. Finance: Support site budgeting, forecasting, cost controls, and financial reporting; ensure operational decisions align with P&L targets and financial discipline. Supply Chain: Partner with Supply Chain to support planning, purchasing, supplier performance, and inventory health to ensure material availability and delivery performance. Develop and lead management teams, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Qualifications Proven results in improving safety, cost, delivery, and quality performance. Experience leading production, maintenance, quality, and continuous improvement teams. Experience managing organizations of 50–500+ employees. Working knowledge of machining processes, CNC equipment, and fabrication operations.
