JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager to oversee the daily operations of our busy bistro Market Square. In addition we have a large events space downstairs that hosts live music and is available for private hire. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities and a passion for hospitality, ensuring that our guests receive exceptional service while maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. This role requires a hands-on approach to managing staff, food production, and customer satisfaction in a fast-paced environment.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven experience in a supervisory role within the restaurant or hospitality industry.
  • Strong culinary experience with knowledge of food production techniques.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse team.
  • Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in food preparation.
  • Previous experience in kitchen management or barista roles is advantageous.
  • Exceptional organisational skills with attention to detail in all aspects of operations.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of service.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with staff and guests.
